Rating a dog
How is the score worked out?
Four categories, weighted: The Dog (40%), The Bun (20%), Condiment Bar (20%), and Halfway House Vibe (20%). Each is scored 0–10 and combined into a final score out of 10.
Why was my score capped?
How the dog was cooked matters. Boiled dogs can't score above 6.0 and microwaved dogs can't score above 3.0, however good the subscores were. The app always shows what the dog would have earned without the cap.
Does the price affect the score?
No. Price is recorded so the app can work out your best value (points per dollar), but it never changes the score itself.
My course isn't in the list.
Search by name or town first. If it still isn't there, tap Add a Course in the course picker to add it yourself. It's then available to every player. If a course has the wrong name or location, email us.
Can I edit or delete a rating?
Open the rating from your log and tap Delete Rating. It's removed from your phone, your backup, and the leaderboard.
Your account
Why do I need an account?
Your account keeps your log backed up, so it survives a new phone or a reinstall, and it's how your dogs appear on the leaderboard.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, choose Sign In, enter your email, and tap Forgot password?. A reset link will be emailed to you. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
I got a new phone. How do I get my log back?
Install Glizzy Golf and sign in with the same email. Your ratings, courses, and photos download automatically.
What happens when I sign out?
The app backs everything up first, then removes your log from the phone. It comes back when you sign in again. If something hasn't backed up yet (usually because you're offline), you'll be warned before anything is removed.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete Account and confirm with your password. This permanently erases your account, ratings, courses, photos, and leaderboard entries. It can't be undone.
The leaderboard
What do other players see?
Your username, the course, your four scores, the final score, how the dog was cooked, and the date. Never your notes, prices, photos, email, or name.
How do I keep my dogs off the leaderboard?
Turn off Settings → Profile → Show my dogs on the leaderboard. All your entries are removed right away.
Someone posted something offensive.
Tap the … next to their name and choose Report. We review every report and remove content that breaks the rules. You can also choose Hide This Player to stop seeing their entries.
